Timing is everything in this business, and it's thanks to good timing that I
realized my dream of becoming a professional actor and started the pursuit of
turning that dream into a productive and fulfilling career.
I'm the oldest of 2 kids, born in Newport News, Virginia in '82. I was a fat baby,
but thankfully I grew into all that skin. Like most youngins I craved attention, and
it's safe to say that still holds true today. I grew up listening to Huey Lewis & The
News and Tears For Fears. I spent most of my time and energy on the
neighborhood playgrounds and soccer fields. I watched the best Saturday
morning cartoons ever and could recite every line from Back To The Future. And
even though I stuffed my face with ice cream from daily trips to my dad's ice
cream stores, I was always the smallest kid in my grade. At school you could say I
was the class clown, but it wasn't my fault y'know, I just always had to make
people laugh. Even if it was catching myself from a fake trip over a chair, as long
as the pretty girl that I had a crush on gave me even a second of attention it was
worth it!

I didn't get into acting until after high school, which is my only regret, but I
owe it all to my friends - and the clients at whatever restaurant I was working at at
that particular time. They're the ones that pushed me into searching for a place to
start. They lit the fire under my butt, I guess. The clients were the best because I
didn't even know these people and they're having these epiphanies: "You should
act, man!" So finally I was tired of cutting limes for $2.40 an hour plus tips and
thought, "I'm going to act!"
This whole thing started in acting classes taught by Mimi Eisman, and since I
was totally green to it all, Mimi helped me work from the ground up. It was her
guidance for almost 3 years that built me a strong foundation, got a sweet resume
started, and ultimately brought me to where I'm at now. Since then, I've studied at
Tidewater Community College, Zarro Acting Academy, and I'm currently taking
classes at a great film school in Virginia, Film Acting Xperience. I've had acting
opportunities up and down the east coast and have developed a strong resume
that includes a broad range of credentials from national television shows to
independent feature films.
I've always been told, "Be a big fish in a small pond." Words to live by right
there. Well I'm at that point where I'm feeling too big for my pond and
something
has to change, y'know? And let's face it, every step I take is a step closer to LA, but
for now, I think I'll focus on the NY scene. It's a chance for me to make connections,
create opportunities and gain some great commercial and TV credits for my
resume, all by expanding my pond and not changing ponds altogether. Not yet at
least. Plus, maybe I could try my hand at modeling as well? Who knows, right? I'm
looking at where I'm going to find the most opportunities at this time and all signs
point North.

Current goals include saving money for the NY move, continuing my growth as
an actor with routine classes and workshops, and stacking a resume capable of
competing in the larger markets.
